This assignment is based off of a photo setting called "Aperture". When you set it at a low aperture the background is blurry and it focuses on one subject. When you set it at a high aperture the background and the subject are both clear, so it doesn't focus on just one thing. This assignment has to do with something called "Depth of Field". Depth of Field, also known as like focus range. is where things that are near or far can seem very crisp and clear unlike other objects. or instance, in the picture of the bench it focuses on just one small area and the background is blurry.

Similar to the above assignment, for this one I stood in front of one subject (the pipe) and took pictures at different aperture settings. They range from 5.6 to 36, the background becoming more clear as the setting gets higher.

For this part of the assignment, I stood a few inches away from the subject and zoomed in. I used the lengths the camera had (18,24,34,55) and gradually zoomed in on the subject. As I zoomed in I took photos with each mm I zoomed, making the photo more in focus with each one.

For this assignment, I stood far away from the subject and took pictures as I gradually got closer. The first picture everything is clear even though it's at a low aperture setting, because I am so far away. For the last one the gate is very in focus and the background is blurry, because I was only inches away.
